Pinch Me Please, I'm in New Zealand!

I'm sitting here in the living room watching television with Kathy and Tony Lye. We just enjoyed a dinner of lamb shank and mashed potatoes. My wine glass is just about empty and the warmth of a crackling fireplace warms the room. I'm trying to wrap my mind around the fact that what might be considered a typical evening is NOT typical because I AM IN NEW ZEALAND!

72 hours ago I was stepping on to a plane in the 107 degree heat of the Arizona summer.
51 hours ago I was stepping off of a plane into winter in New Zealand.
In this hour, I  stand in awe as I embrace the reality of experiencing some of the most beautiful scenery and welcoming people in the world.

It's only been 3 days and I can't wait to write about what I've already experienced, but I'm about out of battery power. Stay tuned...

We’re writing today with a sigh of relief. Knowing you as we do, we were thinking the first thing you would do after landing (and after catching up on sleep) would be to reestablish contact. For a while there we thought you might have fallen into the sea. We’re ready to hear more.

Darus & Michelle: I am borrowing computers from my host, and we have been going non-stop since I arrived. I will try to post nightly! I'm so glad you are on this adventure with me! Love you!
