(Read using your best New Zealand accent and put your hands on your hips in disdain)
"No morning tea in America?!? That is so sad... and just wrong."
Morning Tea in New Zealand schools is national and includes a time period where the entire school takes a 30 minute break together. Children go onto the playground and have snacks and all staff members meet in the lounge for tea and biscuits (cookies). I have experienced 8 Morning Teas in a variety of schools since I've been here and they are phenomenal. It is a beautiful time of relationship building and simply taking time to breath. What do you think... Morning Tea in American schools?
I have another big day tomorrow so I'm signing off for now. I'm going to leave you with a picture walk experience of some of the New Zealand teachers and students I've met so far...
My NZ exchange partner and amazing principal, Kathy... surrounded by children!
The students wanted a picture of me with them during Morning Tea... so Americans can see how "cool" it is.
I read a story about Arizona and then showed them a scorpion encased in glass... followed by a taste of prickly pear jelly on crackers...
Thumbs up in the back... They liked it!
Surrounded by children is one of my favorite places to be... in any country!
More schools... more Morning Tea!
Two of the best school tour guides you'll ever meet!

I can't get over how tech savvy you are, and diligent with your blogging. I really like your pictures and captions in this post. They remind me of the pictures of the week you have done at your schools for years, they really put you 'there.' You are so good at what you do, so proud of you and happy you get to do this. Miss you!
I remember when you were walking me through the first steps of technology! Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. I miss you too! Love you!
